Our 3-Step Verification Process
Every listing is a licensed and insured contractor — verified before publication. We completed contractor license verification on 2,547 active pros in Q1 2026 across Austin, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, and Denver.
- Step 1
License check
We pull your license number from the issuing agency for your jurisdiction — Skilled Trades Ontario, RBQ in Quebec, Skilled Trades BC, Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training, or the appropriate state board in the US. It must be active for the trade you list and match the business name you submit.
- Step 2
Insurance certificate on file
Upload your current general liability + workers-comp certificate. We confirm coverage limits, named insured, and expiration. We re-check at renewal.
- Step 3
Owner background check
Multi-source — criminal record, BBB, civil suits related to construction work. Construction-related felonies, recent fraud convictions, or unresolved BBB complaints disqualify.
